The fronts of the tents are built

Three weeks are gone since the building of the Oktoberfest 2009 has been tackled. As you can see on the pictures the fronts of the tents are finished by now or are about to happen. Those who are drifting these days next to the Therese’s Green and haven’t witnessed the Wiesn in their life yet (let us assure our heartfelt sympathy to all of them) can receive an impression of the dimension of the big festival tents. It’s not just the festival tent that fills the whole area run by a Wiesnhost and his crew, of course there are also the indispensable beer gardens not only beloved by nice weather. These will be constructed in the next weeks as well as the interior of the festival tents. In contrast to the Wiesnhosts the showmen got to be patient till they are allowed to install their rides, shooting galleries and attractions. As every year it’s just a question of time till everything is arranged for the lord mayor of Munich to proclaim: O´zapft is`!
