Tapping 2009 in the Hippodrom

As every year in the Hippodrom it was an exciting issue which celebrities were converted to tapping the first barrel of beer by the host of the Hippodrom Sepp Krätz. They can be seen together with him and his fiancée Tina Fichtel in the carriage in which Sepp Krätz participates in the marching in of the Wiesn-hosts. This year the actor and dubbing speaker Udo Wachtveitl had the honour to do the tapping. If he would have failed he was complemented by the actress Simone Thomalla. But Udo Wachtveitl coped with it confidently. He only needed four hits for tapping the first barrel of Spaten-Festival-Beer. For someone who never did this before it is a commendably achievement. If you are not a fan of Tatort Udo Wachtveitls look maybe not common to everybody, but if you hear his voice you feel transported to Hollywood immediately. International stars like Kevin Bacon, Pierce Brosnan and Kiefer Sutherland were dubbed by him in different movies. Simone Thomalla – as Udo Wachtveitl – is acting in Tatort regularly. She’s investigating in Leipzig under the name Eva Saalfeld. In addition to the Tatort-Commiserate she’s not only known for the serials “Ein Bayer auf Rügen” or “Unser Lehrer Doktor Specht” but also for diverse German feature films. She won the Golden Camera together with her companion Rudi Assauer in 2006 for the best commercial with celebrities. Besides her acting Simone Thomalla promotes the UNICEF Prominence for Charity project.
